  A: The oil level indicator procedure starts with ignition off to extract both the oil level indicator tube and the indicator itself from inside the tube. Once the vehicle reaches a raised position remove the oil level indicator tube bolt. You should remove the Knock Sensor and the heat shield clip from the oil level indicator tube while lowering the vehicle. Check how the secondary (small square) heat shield should be placed before extracting the oil level indicator tube through the Exhaust Manifold opening. The disposal of the old seal is necessary only when changing the oil level indicator tube seal by itself. Installation requires positioning the secondary heat shield correctly on the oil level indicator tube as observed during removal and then placing the oil level indicator and tube. The vehicle height increase allows installation of the Knock Sensor and heat shield clip to the oil level indicator tube before returning the vehicle to the ground.
