For input speed sensor replacement start by taking out the transmission fluid pan and filter. Begin by disconnecting the electrical wiring harness connector from the input speed sensor then remove its mounting bolt followed by the input speed sensor . Check the input speed sensor for magnet damage, housing damage and electrical terminal damage or absence, and also inspect for metal debris stuck on the magnet. After putting in the new input speed sensor you should start by installing it before tightening the input speed sensor bolt at 11 nm (97 inch lbs.). After completing transmission fluid pan and filter installation reconnect the input speed sensor to its electrical wiring harness connector.
