How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on Bank 1 on 2005 Cadillac SRX?

Begin the Bank 1 Knock Sensor (KS) replacement by turning off ignition then supporting the vehicle in an elevated position. After repositioning the wiring harness heat shield you should disconnect the KS electrical connector and remove the KS bolt before extracting the KS. Secure the new KS by tightening its bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb ft) using instructions in the Fastener Notice section of Service Precautions. After reconnecting the KS electrical connector you must regain the wiring harness heat shield's original position before lowering the vehicle.
