How to properly service and replace the Parking Brake Shoe on 2005 Cadillac XLR?

In order to change the parking brake shoe, take off the brake rotor and the wheel bearing/hub. Turn the parking brake adjusting nut to eliminate adjustment, and then pull out the retaining spring. Take off the shoe by flattening it out. Installing: Reverse the order and modify the clearance between the shoe and the drum.
