How to replace the left engine mount on 2005 GMC Sierra 3500?

Start Engine Mount replacement by raising the vehicle then taking off tire and wheel and wheelhouse panel. A 4wd vehicle requires removal of its front propeller shaft before carrying out repairs. Adjustable screw-type jack stands must be used for engine support instead of any contact with the crankshaft balancer or Oil Pan. The left Engine Mount replacement begins with removing the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts as well as Engine Mount bolts before extracting the mount. Place the left Engine Mount on the engine before fastening its bolts at 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs. Torque). Lower the engine before taking away the adjustable jack stands. In case of 4wd vehicles reinstall the front propeller shaft followed by installing the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts at 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.) torque setting. Reinstall the wheelhouse panel followed by the tire with wheel and then lower down your vehicle.
