How to replace the upper control arm on 2006 Buick Rainier?

In order to replace the upper Control Arm, lift up and support the car, remove the tire and wheel. Next, use the Ball Joint to upper Control Arm pinch bolt to take out nut, disconnect the upper Control Arm from the Steering Knuckle, and then separate the abs wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the upper Control Arm. In case of working on the left side, get rid of the battery tray. Pry out the inner fender body panel gently to get to forward-facing bolt, then remove upper Control Arm mounting bolts and pull off the upper Control Arm. For installation, place the upper Control Arm and pry out from the inner fender by its forward bolt. Mount and tighten the upper Control Arm bolts with 150 nm (111 ft. Lbs), keeping an eye on the fastener notice in service precautions. If the battery tray had already been removed or pulled out, then it should be reinstalled and after that, the abs wheel speed sensor wire harness should be connected to the upper Control Arm and later installed to the Steering Knuckle. Mount the upper Ball Joint to the upper Control Arm pinch bolt, secure with nut and tighten it at 40 nm 30 ft. Lbs, then reinstall the tire and the wheel. Finally, drop the car and perform front wheel alignment.
