Extract the cable end from its connector after which you must pull the cable free from all retainer systems before the vehicle descent. To proceed use the Park Brake Cable Release Tool (J 37043) to remove the cable from the lever after disconnecting the park brake cable end from the park brake lever clevis. The operation starts with cable removal from the front park brake system of the vehicle before installing a fresh front park brake cable which joins both park brake lever and park brake lever clevis. After vehicle support lift the vehicle again while installing the park brake cable into its cable retainers until it reaches the connector.
