How to replace the water pump on 2006 Cadillac CTS?

Before you can start installing a new Water Pump you should drain the cooling system fluids and detach both generator and Water Pump belts. Place the Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104) on the Water Pump Pulley before using a socket set to remove Water Pump Pulley bolts and take out the pulley. Take out the Water Pump bolts and pump assembly while discarding the old seal. Clean all Water Pump sealing areas before adding a fresh Water Pump seal and fitting the new Water Pump. Apply Water Pump bolts at 10 nm force and next secure Water Pump Pulley and its bolts. Use the Water Pump Pulley holding tool en 46104 to lock the pulley when you tighten the bolts to 12 nm (106 lb in). Reattach the generator and Water Pump Drive Belt afterwards fill the cooling system.
