How to replace the water pump (LP1, LY7) on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

You need to drain the cooling system using tool ge 47716 draining and filling cooling system to start replacing lp1 ly7 Water Pump. First detach each Drive Belt that links the generator and Water Pump. The Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104) holds the Water Pump position as you remove Water Pump Pulley bolts and take off the pulley assembly. Take out the Water Pump bolts then the Water Pump equipment while discarding the old Water Pump seal. Clean all Water Pump sealing areas properly before putting the new Water Pump seal and Water Pump through. Fasten the Water Pump bolts using 10 n.m force (89 lb in torque). Insert the Water Pump Pulley using Water Pump Pulley holding tool (EN 46104) and tighten bolts to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Reinstall the generator and Water Pump belt while filling the cooling system when necessary.
