How to replace the drive belt for the power steering and air conditioning on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

The first step for power steering and air conditioning Drive Belt replacement requires removing the generator and Water Pump Drive Belt initially. A 1/2 drive breaker bar or ratchet helps to turn the Drive Belt tensioner clockwise and reduce tension on the belt. After removing the belt from the power steering pump pulley the tensioner should be released slowly. The next step involves removing the Drive Belt which should pass through the air conditioning (A/C) compressor pulley and idler pulley and crankshaft balancer. When installing the new Drive Belt position it first on the crankshaft balancer then the idler pulley and a/c compressor pulley before torqueing the Drive Belt tensioner clockwise with a 1/2 drive breaker bar or ratchet to put on the Drive Belt to the power steering pump pulley. At last, slowly release the tensioner. The Drive Belt should be correctly positioned into the accessory drive pulleys' grooves before the final reinstallation of generator and Water Pump drive belts.
