  • Q: How to replace the intermediate steering shaft on 2006 Cadillac DTS?
A: Start by removing the Steering Column before elevating and securing the car to proceed with intermediate Steering Shaft replacement. The procedure begins with tire and bolt removal from the left front wheel followed by the power steering gear stub shaft's pinch bolt. First detach the intermediate shaft from the power steering gear stub shaft and remove the intermediate Steering Shaft. Attach the intermediate shaft to the power steering gear stub shaft by installing its pinch bolt then set the bolt tightness at 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.).
