How to replace the Return Power Steering Hose on 2006 Cadillac DTS?

Begin power steering return hose replacement by setting up a drain pan below the vehicle and by disconnecting it from the Power Steering Pump. First disconnect the bolt which secures the power steering return hose mounting bracket retaining bolt (W715202-S300) to the Cylinder Head before lifting and supporting the vehicle. Start the procedure by taking out front air deflectors together with power steering gear heat shields. The power steering return hose needs removal in this sequence: separate the harness tie strap, detach brackets from frame then remove from power steering gear before disconnecting from the vehicle. To install first place the power steering return hose onto the vehicle before mounting it to the frame brackets. Fasten the power steering return hose to the power steering gear while applying torque to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Secure the hose by using a new tie strap to the wiring harness before finally placing the front air deflector and power steering gear heat shield. When the drain pan is removed you should lower the vehicle while using the bracket (W715202-S300) to mount and tighten the power steering return hose with its retaining bolt to the Cylinder Head at 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Complete the power steering connection by applying the hose to the pump then perform system bleeder operations.
