    Q:
How to Replace the Power Steering Hose for a Smooth Repair on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
Installation of the power steering pressure pipe/hose (RPO L26/3.8L) begins with properly elevating and sustaining the vehicle. After removal of the steering gear heat shield place a drain pan beneath the vehicle. The Power Steering Hose retainer should be disconnected from its position at the engine frame gear before extracting the pressure hose from the power steering gear. Detach the power steering pressure hose banjo bolt along with its two washer items before removing the hose from the vehicle. The power steering pressure hose needs attachment to the vehicle using two new washers for secure installation of the banjo bolt to 55 n.m (41 lb ft). Attach the power steering pressure hose to the power steering gear by applying torque of 30 n.m (22 lb ft) and reinstall the Power Steering Hose retainer on the engine frame. Reposition the power steering pressure hose into the Power Steering Hose retainer followed by the installation of steering gear heat shield and vehicle lowering with final completion of power steering bleeding.

    Q:
How to replace the Return Power Steering Hose on Cadillac DTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
The power steering return hose replacement process starts by installing a drain pan underneath and then disconnecting the hose from the Power Steering Pump. Start the process by removing the w715007-s300 bolt which retains the mounting bracket of the power steering return hose on the Cylinder Head while also lifting the vehicle for support. Medical professionals must remove two elements that include the front air deflector and power steering gear heat shield. First detach the power steering return hose from the wiring harness tie strap while removing it both from frame brackets and the power steering gear before pulling it off the vehicle. The power steering return hose must be installed to the vehicle followed by frame brackets while keeping to the fastener notice. The hose should be fastened to the power steering gear at 27 n.m (20 lb ft) but must also be secured to the wiring harness through a new tie strap. After fitting the front air deflector and power steering gear heat shield you must take out all remaining fluid from the drain pan before lowering your vehicle. Replacement of the power steering return hose mounting bracket (W715007-S300) begins by securing the bracket to the Cylinder Head through bolt tightening to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). The power steering return hose routes to the Power Steering Pump at this point. The power steering system requires bleeding as the final step.
