How to replace the Return Power Steering Hose on 2008 Cadillac DTS?

Begin replacement work of power steering return hose by putting a drain pan under the vehicle then disconnect the power steering return hose from the Power Steering Pump. Unscrew the power steering return hose mounting bracket retaining bolt from the Cylinder Head followed by raising and supporting the vehicle. After removal of the front air deflector you should proceed with removing the power steering gear heat shield. Tear away the power steering return hose from its attachment points at the frame brackets and power steering gear and wiring harness tie strap before carrying the hose outside of the vehicle. Begin the power steering return hose installation by fastening it to the vehicle frame brackets followed by securing it to its position. Fasten the hose to the power steering gear with 27 n.m (20 lb ft) torque before attaching it to the wiring harness with a new tie strap. Reinstall the front air deflector followed by the power steering gear heat shield. Drain the pan then lower the vehicle. Completion of the power steering repair involves mounting and securing the power steering return hose bracket near the Cylinder Head and fastening the retaining bolt with 50 n.m (37 lb ft) torque. Afterward, connect the power steering return hose to the Power Steering Pump followed by power steering system bleeding.
