How to replace the multifunction turn signal switch on 2006 Cadillac STS?

Turn off the sir system according to zone 3 restraint system disabling and enabling procedures before starting with the multifunction Turn Signal Switch replacement. Start by taking off the trim covers from the Steering Column and removing its retaining screws from around the multifunction switch. Disconnect its electrical connections afterward. Fit the electrical connectors to the new switch and mount it to the Steering Column after taking off the multifunction switch. Replace the Steering Column covers after putting in the retaining screws which should be tightened at 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). Finally, enable the restraint system.
