How to service and repair the Coolant Pipe for the surge tank hose replacement on a 2.4L (LE5) engine on 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt?

To service and repair the Coolant Reservoir, in particular, the surge tank hose/pipe repair for the 2.4l (LE5) engine, start with draining the cooling system and remove the under-hood electrical center. By using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185), move the surge tank outlet hose clamp back to the engine and remove the surge tank outlet hose from the engine. Next, loosen the surge tank inlet hose clamp using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) and so the surge tank inlet hose needs to be removed from the surge tank. Return the surgetank before handling the hose by removing the surge tank nut and removing the surge tank outlet hose employing the hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Reclamp the surge tank outlet hose before surge tank removal. For installation, route the surge tank outlet hose and attach it to the engine using the hose clamp with hose clamp pliers (J38185). With the raise on the surge tank, attach the surge tank outlet hose to the hose clamp and reposition the hose to lock with the hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Fitting of the surge tank nut is done by mounting it to 10 nm (89inch lbs) and then fitting the under hood electrical center. Lastly, connect the surge tank inlet hose to surge tank, tighten it with the hose clamp using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) while filling the cooling system.
