As the first step to replace the Crankshaft rear oil seal you need to remove the Flywheel. A suitable tool should be used to separate the Crankshaft rear oil seal from the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing but you must do so without damaging either component. Dispose of the worn-out seal. The new Crankshaft rear oil seal requires a minimal amount of clean engine oil on its lip before inserting the plastic installation sleeve onto the Crankshaft. Install the Crankshaft rear oil seal while following these steps: use the rear seal installer (J 44215) with driver handle (J 8092) and a hammer to guide the Crankshaft rear oil seal into its housing so both the spring side faces the engine and the seal remains straight. After complete installation the seal should reach the bottom of the housing. Finally, reinstall the Flywheel.
