How to replace the non-serviceable rear wheel bearing and hub assembly on 2006 Chevrolet Impala?

You cannot repair any damage to the rear Wheel Hub because its Wheel Bearing and hub assembly work together as a single unit. When this part breaks you must replace it entirely. Start by lifting the vehicle properly and remove its tires, wheels, brake rotor in that order. When available disconnect the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connection and unpark the brake actuator cable. Untwist the mounting bolts of the rear bearing and hub to take out the Wheel Bearing and park brake assembly from the knuckle. Finally, detach the park brake actuator from the Wheel Bearing and hub. Install the park brake actuator to the rear Wheel Bearing/hub and keep the Wheel Bearing/hub park brake assembly inside the knuckle. Fasten the Wheel Bearing-to-knuckle bolts to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.) torque and connect the park brake cable back to the actuator. After installing the parts, plug back the abs electrical connector to the Wheel Speed Sensor but keep the tires and wheels on before lowering the vehicle.
