How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on an Allison automatic transmission on 2006 GMC Sierra 1500?

The process of replacing an allison automatic transmission mount begins with elevating and supporting the vehicle along with securing the transmission with a transmission jack. First disconnect the transmission mount from its retaining nuts to allow lifting the transmission above its mounting position. Start by removing the transmission mount bolts that attach it to the transmission or transfer case adapter. Then slowly lift the transmission until the transmission mount can be successfully removed. Place the new transmission mount onto the transmission or transfer case adapter mounting bolts and tighten them to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Install the new transmission mount onto the transmission support retaining nut or nuts then tighten them to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Lower the vehicle after removing the transmission jack.
