2007 Buick LaCrosse Steering Knuckle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the steering knuckle in the rear suspension on 2007 Buick LaCrosse?
A: A technician must start the replacement process for the Steering Knuckle in the rear suspension by elevating and safely holding the vehicle before removing the tire-wheel assembly. Scribe markings on the knuckle in order to remove the bearing/hub assembly. Push the rear wheel spindle rods away from the knuckle to detach them followed by removing the Trailing Arm out of the knuckle. Next take off the rear strut bolts and nuts before you can remove the knuckle from the vehicle. Start by placing the knuckle on the vehicle and manually thread the nuts and bolts between the strut and knuckle without any tightening. Hold the rear suspension Trailing Arm to the knuckle and fix the rear wheel spindle rods at the knuckle position. Mount the bearing/hub assembly while you should tighten the strut to knuckle screws with nuts to 120 n.m (89 lb ft). After fitting the tire and wheel assembly the technician should lower the vehicle and inspect the rear wheel alignment before making any necessary adjustments.
