How to replace the rear Ride Height Sensor for the electronic suspension on 2007 Cadillac STS?

The first step to replace the rear position sensor for electronic suspension involves liftering and supporting the vehicle and removing the tire and wheel. The ride sensor link must be detached from the upper control arm ball stud as well as from the ride sensor harness connector. You must first loosen the rear ride sensor retaining nut then tap the stud retaining stud gently in order to disconnect it from the frame before removing the rear ride sender. The sensor installation begins by placing it inside the vehicle while making sure the captured stud rests at the bottom of the keyhole before rotating sensor and bracket jointly to lock the bracket tab inside its slot. To level the sensor bracket allow the captured stud to rise from its resting position in the keyhole until proper level is achieved. Fasten the rear ride height sensor retaining nut with 9 N.m of torque (80 lb in). Connect the ride sensor link to its ball stud on the upper control arm and to the harness connector and reinstall the tire followed by the wheel before lowering the vehicle.
