How to replace the steering knuckle on an AWD on 2007 Cadillac STS?

The replacement of a Steering Knuckle in an awd vehicle starts with vehicle support and tire wheel removal which is followed by wheel bearing/hub disposal. The next step involves detaching the outer tie rod from the Steering Knuckle before you remove the brake hose bracket retaining bolts. Begin by removing the upper control arm ball stud retaining nut from the Steering Knuckle followed by removing the lower control arm ball stud from the Steering Knuckle to finally take out the Steering Knuckle itself. Install the Steering Knuckle by attaching it to the lower control arm ball stud while using a new lower control arm ball stud retaining nut. Fasten the upper control arm ball stud to the Steering Knuckle by using a new upper control arm ball stud retaining nut following the fastener notice. Fasten the brake hose bracket to the Steering Knuckle by applying 14 n.m (10 lb ft) force to the bolts followed by connecting the outer tie rod to its position on the knuckle. The wheel bearing/hub along with the tire and wheel should be reinstalled followed by lowering the vehicle.
