How to replace the trailing arm on 2007 Cadillac STS?

To replace the Trailing Arm, uplift and hold the vehicle, remove the tire wheel. Next, unfix the automatic level control link from the upper Control Arm along with the brake pipe bracket retention nuts before removing the brake pipe bracket from the mounting stu. Place a suitable jack under the lower Control Arm, then knock off the trailing link to knuckle nut and bolt. In trying to remove the jack, you should be able to use a suitable jack to support the frame, take out the front bolts of the frame while lowering the front of the rear frame. Go ahead and take out the trailing link to frame nut and bolt, and pull the trailing link from the car. To install, first loosely install the trailing link to the vehicle and the trailing link to frame bolt and nut. Lift the frame using an appropriate jack, and tighten the front bolts to the frame at 265 n.m (195 lb ft). Take off the jack and use a proper jack to support the lower Control Arm with the intent of aligning the trailing link and the knuckle. Mount and fasten the trailing link to knuckle bolt and nut, fastening the trailing link to frame nut to 150 n.m (111 lb ft) and the trailing link to knuckle mounting bolt to 170 n.m (125 lb ft). Insert the brake pipe bracket onto the mounting studs and tighten it with the retaining nuts, up to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Lastly, connect the automatic level control link to the upper Control Arm, fit the tire and wheel, and lower the vehicle.
