How to replace the inlet radiator hose on 2007 Cadillac XLR?

The first step to replace the Radiator inlet hose includes emptying the cooling system liquid and taking off the air filter assembly. Crank the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to loosen the clamp around the Radiator inlet hose at the Radiator and proceed to unlink the hose from the Radiator. The engine-side hose disconnection requires hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to open the clamp while separating the hose from the engine block. Remove the Radiator inlet hose. Before installation check that the reference marks of the hoses match those of the Radiator to avoid forcing the Radiator fitting which might result in damage. Clean coolant lubrication must cover the interior hose diameters before fitting them into place. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to install the Radiator inlet hose properly while securing its engine connection through clamp engagement on the engine side. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to apply clamp tension to the Radiator inlet hose at the Radiator side. The ending operation includes replacement of the air cleaner assembly along with proper filling of the cooling system.
