First shift the lower clamp of the bypass hose into its new position per diagram along with removing the bolts securing the Thermostat Housing to the cylinder heads before extracting both housing and bypass hose assembly. The technician should discard both Thermostat Housing gaskets before separating the housing for cleaning and examination. The installation process begins with Thermostat Housing assembly followed by installation of new Thermostat Housing gaskets. Secure the vehicle's Thermostat Housing and bypass hose assembly using bolts that need to be tightened to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Route the bypass hose clamp properly before you join the Radiator Hose and two coolant hoses to the Thermostat Housing. The supercharger idler pulley along with the supercharger belt tensioner must receive reinstallation along with the supercharger assembly.
