    A: You need to remove the lower Control Arm first before replacing the Ball Joint and secure it in a suitable holding position. Use an 8 mm (5/16 in) drill bit to pierce through the Ball Joint rivets followed by a 12 mm (31/64 in) drill bit to open the hole completely both before cleaning the Control Arm of leftover burs. Keep the Ball Joint position in mind as you remove it from the parts. Make sure you clean the Control Arm from all dirt particles before starting the installation. Secure the new Ball Joint to the Control Arm according to previous steps and use the supplied hardware only when tightening it even though the bolt head goes on top. Screw the lower Control Arm bolts and nuts 68 n.m (50 lb ft). Put the Control Arm back into place afterward.
