How to replace the rear brake line on 2007 Chevrolet HHR?

You need to elevate the vehicle and take its wheel off to access the rear brake hose. You need to remove every trace of dirt and foreign objects from both parts of the brake hose and the brake pipe connections. Detaching brake pipe fittings from the brake hose using back up wrenches leaves both ends protected through capping and plugging methods. Unclip the brake hose retaining brackets from the mount and free the hose from them. Place the brake hose inside mounting brackets with its ends lining up to the notches. Then add the retaining clips onto the hose fittings. Twist the brake hose pipe fittings together using a back up wrench and tighten them to 21 N.m (15 lb ft). Insert the wheel assembly and check the hose position; move the hose if it touches any suspension part before installation. End the process with hydraulic brake bleeding plus a descent into the workshop.
