2007 Chevrolet Impala Transmission Oil Cooler Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Transmission Oil Cooler Hose on 2007 Chevrolet Impala?
A: The first step to replace the transmission fluid cooler hose/pipe requires disconnecting the transaxle oil cooler (TOC) outlet hose from the Radiator's top side. Support the car while it is raised before extracting the retaining bolt for the toc hose while placing a drain pan beneath the oil cooler hoses. Begin by disconnecting the outlet hose from the transaxle and proceed with disconnecting both the transaxle and Radiator hoses and the inlet hose and closing out by disconnecting the hoses from the Radiator support retainer. Extract all toc hoses from their residential position on the vehicle. Before reinstalling transaxle oil cooler pipes and hoses make sure they have enough space to prevent both wear and fluid leak through mechanical damage. Reattach the toc hoses to start with the Radiator support retainer and continue to attach them to the Radiator and finally to the transaxle. Lower the vehicle and connect the toc outlet hose to the top side of the Radiator after properly tightening the toc hose retainer and bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Building a fluid level that exceeds capacity will create both foaming and fluid dispersion alongside shifting complaints together with possible damage to the transaxle components. Complete the process by correcting the fluid level to the right specification.
