How to replace the negative battery cable on 2008 Cadillac DTS?

You must disconnect the negative Battery Cable as your first step when replacing it. Remove the body harness electrical connector from its connections with the negative Battery Cable electrical connector and battery current sensor. Use a socket wrench to remove the negative Battery Cable ground bolt then proceed to remove the entire cable. Position the negative Battery Cable eyelet facing upward with its flat side at the bottom during your installation. Position the negative Battery Cable eyelet over the Floor Pan hole and thread and tighten the negative Battery Cable ground bolt to 36 n.m (27 lb ft). You should first link the body harness electrical connector to the battery current sensor then connect it to the negative Battery Cable electrical connector before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Replace damaged cables with new ones that are identical to the original cables in terms of type and diameter and also length and keep the replacement cable route identical to the original setup.
