The front crankshaft oil seal requires a first-stage door of removing the A/C Compressor and power steering pump Drive Belt. This procedure needs both the generator and water pump Drive Belt to be detached. The next operation requires removing the crankshaft balancer. A flat-bladed tool will help in removing the crankshaft oil seal. Avoid applying lubricants when replacing the crankshaft front oil seal and the balancing seal surfaces on the crankshaft. The oil seal installer tool (J 29184) should be used for fitting the crankshaft front oil seal and then reinstall the crankshaft balancer. To begin the next step install the generator and water pump Drive Belt in sequence with the A/C Compressor and power steering pump Drive Belt.
