First support the transmission with an appropriate jack plus wood block then break loose the transmission vent hose retainers from the mount assembly. Extract the assembly of transmission mount support with its bolts from body mountings and transfer case mountings to remove this unit from the vehicle. Placement of the transmission mount support assembly requires correct bolt tension order during installation. Begin by hand-tightening transmission mount support to transfer case mounting bolts before using torque wrenches to set the left side bolt to 110 N.m (81 lb ft) and the right side bolt to 110 N.m (81 lb ft). Fasten the transmission mount support assembly to its body mounting bolts while applying torque at 60 N.m (44 lb ft). Lower the vehicle before you put back the transmission vent hose onto its mount assembly retainers while discarding the transmission jack and placing the exhaust system back in place.
