2007 Cadillac SRX Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on a 6L50/6L80/6L90 automatic transmission in an all-wheel-drive on 2007 Cadillac SRX?
A: Start by raising and supporting the vehicle when replacing the transmission mount on a 6l50/6l80/6l90 automatic transmission in all-wheel-drive vehicles. Begin by taking out the exhaust system while you support the transmission with a suitable jack along with a block of wood. You should start by detaching the transmission vent hose from its six retainers that secure the mount assembly before you can remove the transmission mount support to body mounting bolts alongside the transmission mount support to transfer case mounting bolts. Extract the transmission mount support assembly from your vehicle. Installation follows mounting the transmission support assembly by properly torquing the transmission bolts in sequence. Begin by hand-tightening the transmission mount support to transfer case mounting bolts and then fasten the right side bolt to 110 n.m (81 lb ft) followed by the left side bolt to 110 n.m (81 lb ft). After positioning the transmission mount support assembly back into position, tighten its body mounting bolts at 60 n.m (44 lb ft). Return the transmission vent hose to its six retaining points on the mount assembly while removing the transmission jack before installing the exhaust system and completing the vehicle's descent.
