How to replace the upper control arm on 2008 GMC Envoy?

To replace the upper Control Arm, first, lift and support the vehicle and remove the tire and wheel. Next, take out and dispose of the upper Ball Joint to upper Control Arm Bolt and nut and disconnect the upper Control Arm from the Steering Knuckle. Unclip the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the upper Control Arm. When servicing the left upper Control Arm, it is important to take off the battery tray. Obtained the bolt from the inner fender body will allow you to access the forward facing bolt and then removed the up Control Arm mountings and removal of the upper Control Arm. To install the new upper Control Arm, take the position, carefully pry out on the inner fender to reach the forward-facing bolt to install the upper Control Arm mounting bolts in a tightening mode of 146 n.m (108 lb ft). If the battery tray were off, reinstall the tray, and then attach the abs wheel speed sensor wiring harness to the upper Control Arm. Connect upper Control Arm to the Steering Knuckle and fit new upper Ball Joint to the upper Control Arm Bolt, and nut tighten to 41 n.m (30 lb fi) lastly, reinstall the tire and wheel, lower the vehicle and check out the front wheel alignment.
