    Q:
How to replace the rear axle upper control arm on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
First properly raise and support the vehicle to perform the replacement on the rear axle upper control arm after removing the tire along with the wheel assembly and wheelhouse panel. To begin the rear axle upper control arm replacement the vehicle needs to be supported at its designed D-height after dropping air suspension pressure and removing the air suspension leveling sensor. Start with the rear axle upper control arm to axle mounting nut and bolt until they come off. After that remove the rear axle upper control arm to frame mounting bolt and pull out the rear axle upper control arm. Position the rear axle upper control arm first then secure it with a frame mounting bolt followed by an axle mounting nut and bolt which both require a torque of 131 Nm (97 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the rear axle upper control arm air suspension leveling sensor link when your vehicle has air suspension. To finish up the installation disconnect the rear axle support system before putting the wheelhouse panel back in place and reattaching the tire and wheel. Then lower the vehicle to the ground.

    Q:
How to replace the rear axle upper control arm on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the rear axle upper control arm, lift and support the vehicle, then remove the tire and wheel, wheelhouse panel, after the wheel. Then, raise and support the rear axle at the designed D - height according to Trim Height Specifications. If the vehicle equipped with air suspension, depressurized air suspension system and remove the air suspension leveling sensor link from rear axle upper control arm. Go on to get rid of the rear axle upper control to axle mounting bolt and nut as well as the rear axle upper control to frame mounting bolt. Now, remove the rear axle upper control. The installation process starts with the rear axle upper control arm and then the rear axle upper control arm to frame mounting bolt followed by the rear axle upper control arm to axle mounting nut and bolt in which you tighten the rear axle upper control arm mounting bolts to 131 Nm (97 ft. lbs.). If the vehicle has air suspension, restore the link of air suspension leveling sensor to the rear axle upper control arm. Subsequently, take away the rear axle support, install the wheelhouse panel, reintroduce the tire and wheel, lastly reduce the vehicle.
