How to replace the lower control arm on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

To replace the lower Control Arm, first raise and support vehicle. Remove the tire and the wheel and remove the outer tie rod retaining nut take off the outer tie rod from the Steering Knuckle by using the steering linkage and tie rod puller (J24319-B). Second, unbolt the stabilizer shaft link lower retaining nut, and unplug the stabilizer shaft link and washer from the lower Control Arm. Take off the lower mounting nut of shock module yoke and detach the shock module yoke from the lower Control Arm using steering linkage and tie rod puller (J24319-B). Go ahead to remove the lower Control Arm to lower Control Arm Bracket mounting nuts and bolts, recording the orientation of the bolts for refitting. Take out the lower Ball Joint retaining nut and remove the lower Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle by using the Ball Joint remover (J43631). Pivot the lower Control Arm outward and downward to part it with the lower Control Arm Bracket while not allowing the Axle Shaft to disengage from the transmission (4WD only), then pull out the lower Control Arm that was connected to the Steering Knuckle. To install, first install the lower Control Arm in the Steering Knuckle, then pivot it outward and up to link it to the lower Control Arm Bracket. Mount the lower Control Arm to the lower Control Arm Bracket, followed by the mounting bolts and nuts and tighten the nuts to 110 nm (81 ft. Lbs.). In ensuring correct alignment of the lower Control Arm bushings, ensure that the lower Control Arm is parallel to the lower Control Arm Bracket at the time of installation and tightening. Connect the shock moduleyoke to the lower Control Arm and tighten the shock module yoke lower mounting nut. Next, install the lower Control Arm stabilizer shaft link and washer (it has to be the same as the original), install the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut, tighten since 145nm (107 ft. Lbs.). Mount the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle and the outer tie rod retaining nut, and tighten this latter to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Finally, replace the tire and wheel, bring down the vehicle, and check the front wheel alignment.
