The starting point for Camshaft Position Sensor replacement involves removing the Power Steering Pump. Start by disconnecting the cmp sensor electrical connector before you remove the bolt holding the cmp sensor and finally extract the sensor itself. Check the cmp sensor o-ring for signs of wear and tears and leakage when keeping the original sensor. Replace the damaged o-ring and lubricate your new cmp sensor with clean engine oil before putting it back in place. Fasten the cmp sensor bolt using a torque of 10 nm (89 lb in). After connecting the cmp sensor electrical connector you must reinstall the Power Steering Pump.
