How to replace the primary cam gear and timing chain on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

For camshaft for a timing chain and sprockets replacement, remove the front cover of the engine. Next, remove the right bank secondary camshaft Timing Chain Tensioner and the right bank secondary camshaft timing chain shoe and guide. Then, take out the right bank secondary camshaft timing chain itself. Subsequently, they extract the primary camshaft Timing Chain Tensioner, primary camshaft timing chain upper guide, and primary camshaft timing chain. For installation, begin by installing the primary camshaft timing chain, then the primary upper camshaft Timing Chain Guide, and the primary camshaft Timing Chain Tensioner (LY7/LP1). Go ahead and install the right bank secondary camshaft timing chain, right bank secondary camshaft Timing Chain Guide, shoe, and tensioner. Also, reinstall the engine front cover.
