    A: The sir coil assembly can sustain damage whenever you replace the center intermediate Steering Shaft so you should lock the Steering Column and align the front wheels before starting the process. First, steer the wheels to be parallel before engaging the lock position on the ignition cylinder and removing the key. Place the anti-rotation pin (J 42640) through the Steering Column access hole for security. Start by removing the wheel and tire from the vehicle's left front position before extracting both Steering Shaft bolts from the center intermediate section and the lower section. After disconnection of the lower intermediate Steering Shaft from the steering gear you must record the proper installation alignment between the center intermediate Steering Shaft and the upper intermediate Steering Shaft. Extract the center intermediate Steering Shaft from its connection with the upper Steering Shaft after letting both shafts and the lower intermediate Steering Shaft remain inside the vehicle. Mark the connection points between the center and lower intermediate steering shafts before removing the center bolt. Remove the center intermediate Steering Shaft from its position between the lower intermediate Steering Shaft. You must connect the center intermediate Steering Shaft to the lower intermediate Steering Shaft followed by screwing in and tightening the center intermediate Steering Shaft bolt to 30 nm (23 lb ft). Secure the center intermediate Steering Shaft to the vehicle's lower intermediate Steering Shaft and connect it to the upper intermediate Steering Shaft before tightening another bolt to 30 nm (23 lb ft). Secure the steering gear connection with the lower intermediate Steering Shaft through the 50 nm (37 lb ft) torques. Move on to reinstall the left front tire and wheel assembly and throw away the anti-rotation pin (J 42640).
