How to replace the front suspension sway bar link on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

Replacement of the sway bar link in the front suspension requires that the vehicle is first lifted and supported up until the work is completed. A hex tool should grasp and secure the sway bar link studs to protect the link seal during sway bar link removal. Then use the hex tool to remove both upper and lower retaining nuts from the link following its removal from the vehicle. First place the new sway bar link on its position but do not tighten the nuts at this time before securing the link seal using a hex tool. Before the vehicle retrieval, users must first install the lower retaining nut according to fastener caution guidelines followed by the upper retaining nut which should be tightened to 115 Nm (95 lb ft).
