How to replace the Parking Brake Shoe on 2009 Cadillac STS?

The procedure for shoe replacement begins with hub assembly removal along with the Wheel Bearing. Turn the parking brake adjusting nut until all possible adjustment reaches completion. The Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring must come off first before grasping and slightly spreading the park brake shoe assembly to pull it from the actuator assembly. After installing the park brake shoe assembly the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring should be added following the same sequence. Next follow by placing back the Wheel Bearing and hub assembly and perform adjustments on the Parking Brake Shoe-to-drum clearance before lowering the vehicle.
