How to replace the rear suspension sway bar link on 2009 Cadillac STS?

The first step to replace the Sway Bar Link in the rear suspension requires vehicle lifting combined with support. First remove the tire and wheel and maintain hold of the Sway Bar Link stud with a hex tool to defend against contact damage to the link seal. Start by removing Sway Bar Link retaining nuts after which the Sway Bar Link needs separation from both the sway bar and the lower Control Arm. The installation process starts with linking the sway bar to the lower Control Arm before linking it to the sway bar during which a hex tool should be used to maintain the Sway Bar Link stud to protect the link seal. After attaching the Sway Bar Link retaining nuts you must tighten them to 66 nm (49 lb ft). After completing the process lower the vehicle and install tire and wheel together.
