How to replace the Windshield Wiper Switch on 2009 Cadillac STS?

Start by deactivating the sir system when replacing the windshield wiper and washer switch. Mounting your work begins by taking off steering column trim covers followed by steering column wiring harness tie straps. Unplug the electrical connectors (1, 3) from both the windshield and washer switch before using a plastic tool to remove the windshield wiper and washer switch from its steering column mount. Set the new windshield wiper and washer switch onto the steering column before you connect the electrical connectors (1, 3). Connect the electrical connector from the windshield wiper and washer switch before replacing the steering column trim covers and wiring harness tie straps. Finally, enable the sir system.
