How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2009 Chevrolet Impala?

To replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor, raise and support the vehicle first. Remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector, remove the CKP sensor stud, and remove the CKP sensor itself. For installation apply engineering oil onto the CKP sensor O- ring before the CKP sensor and the CKP sensor stud is installed; the stud is to be tightened to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Lastly, reattach the CKP sensor electrical connector and bring down the vehicle.
