2009 Chevrolet Impala Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the engine mount on 2009 Chevrolet Impala?
A: Begin replacement of the Engine Mount by detaching the tire along with the wheel component. Remove the engine splash shield from the next step. Stop and disconnect the Engine Mount to frame nuts. Before bolt removal start by placing an adjustable jack with block of wood under the Oil Pan. The adjustable jack and block of wood enable engine lift until the removal of the Engine Mount/bracket is possible. Install the Engine Mount bracket onto the engine before using specified bolt torque to 50 nm (37 lb ft) during installation. After adjusting the jack height to the proper position the Engine Mount should sit on the frame which is followed by jack and wood block removal. Insert the Engine Mount to frame nuts while torquing them to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Reinstall the engine splash shield followed by installing the tire along with its wheel.
