How to replace the rear brake line from the frame to the axle on 2009 GMC Savana 1500?

To swap the brake hose on the frame each side you need to elevate and steady the vehicle followed by removing the tire and wheel set. Wipe all loose debris from both ends of the brake hose and brake pipe. Use a back up wrench on the hose fitting at one end to detach the brake pipe from the brake hose before capping or plugging the brake pipe end. Pull off the brake hose retaining clip from its bracket and take out the jounce hose from the bracket. Install rubber plugs at both brake pipe ends to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination. Take out the brake hose to caliper bolt from its position inside the brake caliper. Discard the two old copper brake hose gaskets that may be attached to either the housing or the hose end. Take the brake hose off from the vehicle. Align and insert two new brake hose gaskets followed by attaching the brake hose bolt to the brake hose. Screw the brake hose onto the caliper bolt with two new washers under the caliper, tightening it to 44 nm (32 lb ft) torque and verify the hose position avoids suspension contact and twisting. Thread the brake hose into its mount and pull off the rubber plug from the brake pipe fitting. Connect the fitting to the hose while using a back up wrench to tighten up to 25 nm with no bracket or pipe bending. Install the brake hose retaining clip on the hose bracket where it will stay clear of all suspension components. If necessary remove the hose and fix the contact issue. Complete the job with brake hose installation and hydraulic system bleeding while lowering the vehicle.
