2010 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Heater Core on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The replacement of a Heater Core starts by taking out the hvac module followed by discarding the hvac module assembly foam seal. Remove the electrical connectors of the discharge temperature management sensor together with the wiring harness retainer pin from the hvac module. Proceed to remove the Heater Core cover wire harness retainers by disconnecting the wiring harness from each one before setting them aside. Start by unscrewing the heater cover screws along with removing the hvac module followed by extraction of the Heater Core. Use fresh Heater Core seals during the replacement of the new Heater Core. You should begin by adding a new foam seal onto the Heater Core and then mount the Heater Core onto the hvac module. Fastening operations should be conducted with care to prevent car damage. Secure the hvac module heater cover through screws that reach a torque setting of 1.6 nm (14 lb in). The hvac wiring harness needs to be connected to the retainers at the Heater Core cover while connecting the hvac module wiring harness retainer pin with the dtm sensor electrical connectors. Finally, reinstall the hvac module.
