How to replace the rear brake line (Caliper) on 2010 Chevrolet Express 3500?

The first step to replace the rear brake hose includes lifting and holding the vehicle while removing the tire and wheel setup. Clean all dirt from both hardware ends and seal the open pipe outlet when working on the brake assembly. You must use an auxiliary tool to connect the brake hose fitting from the brake pipe opening. Then use a fitting cap to shield the brake pipe. Remove the brake hose from its bracket on the mounting bracket and also disconnect the brake hose to caliper bolt from the brake caliper. Throw away any two stuck gaskets made of copper which have attached to the caliper housing or brake hose section. Place both new copper brake hose gaskets onto the brake hose then bolt the brake hose bolt. Insert the brake hose into the brake caliper and position 2 new washers at the caliper spots. Install the hardware by tightening to 44 nm (33 lb ft) and verify the brake hose alignment stays free of damage or suspension contact. Fit the brake hose into its mounting bracket followed by the brake hose keeping clip. Use a back up wrench on the brake hose connector to join the exposed brake pipe end with the brake hose keeping mounting bracket and brake pipe straight until you reach 25 nm (18 lb ft) torque setting. Before mounting the wheel assembly bleed your hydraulic brakes first. After that install the tire and wheel making sure the brake hose does not come close to suspension parts or the tire itself. If the hose contacts these elements remove and properly fix the positioning. Finally, lower the vehicle.
