2010 Chevrolet Impala Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Engine Mount Torque Strut on 2010 Chevrolet Impala?
A: The engine mount strut replacement starts by taking out the engine mount strut to radiator support bolts and the engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket bolts/nuts after which the engine mount strut(s) can be removed. The engine mount strut(s) can be reinstalled in their position but must be fastened with engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket bolts/nuts while maintaining the engine harness clamp between the bolt and strut bracket on the right side. The correct torque for engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket bolts/nuts should be set at 50 Nm (37 lb ft). Attach both engine mount strut to radiator support bolts before applying torque with M10 bolts to 58 Nm (43 lb ft) and M8 bolts to 26 Nm (19 lb ft).
