How to replace the front Fender Splash Shield on Buick Century?

To replace the front fender splash shield start by removing bolts at the front bumper fascia of the fender splash shield and nuts at the rear and front tabs of the shield at the lower engine compartment and rear fender bolts. After removing all these fasteners the front fender splash shield can be taken out from the fender. The front fender splash shield needs to be positioned by placing it through the wheelhouse opening above the stud before installing a nut to the back stud and tightening it to 4 Nm (35 lb in). To install the front fender splash shield, place the bolts at the front bumper fascia first before tightening them to 2 Nm (18 lb in) while the bolts at the rear of the fender require 7 Nm (61 lb in) torque. Attach the lower engine compartment side rail bolt from the front tab of the front fender splash shield while tightening it to 4.5Nm (40lb in).
