How to replace the front Fender Splash Shield on Buick Century?

Proceed to replace the front fender splash shield by first removing bolts from the front bumper fascia and then the nut from the back of the front fender splash shield stud followed by the bolt at the lower engine compartment side rail front tab and finally all bolts from the rear fender. After this disconnect the front fender splash shield from its fender position. After placing the front fender splash shield into position above the stud at the wheelhouse opening you should install the nut to the stud at the rear of the front fender splash shield before tightening it to 4 N.m (35 lb in). Begin by fitting and tightening bolts at the front bumper fascia front fender splash shield section with torque values at 2 N.m (18 lb in). Then proceed with installing and tightening the bolts located at the rear fender section with 7 N.m (61 lb in) torque. Tighten the bolt from the front tab of the front fender splash shield to the lower engine compartment side rail until it reaches 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
