How to service the camshaft position sensor on Buick LeSabre?

The service procedure for the Camshaft Position Sensor begins with coolant recovery reservoir removal along with the Drive Belt's removal. You must remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor retaining screw followed by disconnecting the electrical connector from the Camshaft Position Sensor. The service technician should first extract the cmp sensor off the engine front cover. Install the cmp sensor by placing it onto the engine front cover, tighten the retaining bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in) according to the fastener notice in service precautions. Complete the maintenance by attaching the electrical connector to the Camshaft Position Sensor followed by reinstallation of the Drive Belt and returning the coolant recovery reservoir to its original position.
